The Division of the State Architect provides design and construction oversight for K–12 schools and community colleges, and develops and maintains accessibility standards and codes utilized in public and private buildings throughout the State of California.

The Division of the State Architect (DSA) is making every effort to expedite the review and approval of plans for K-12 school and community college facilities. In the past few weeks we have hired twenty-five additional staff, brought on additional architects and engineers from the Real Estate Services Division, implemented overtime and increased our use of consultant plan review firms.
