California's SHBC: Meetings, Activities, and Notices

Prior Meetings, Activities, and Notices

Meetings are scheduled on the third Thursday of any month. Four meetings a year are planned, with three in Sacramento, in February, September and November. The forth meeting, a full board meeting, is planned for late April, May, or early June to coincide with the California Preservation Conference that is held, alternating north and south in the state, in different locations each year.

A public meeting of the State Historical Building Safety Board (SHBSB) will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2006, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Division of the State Architect located at 1102 Q Street, Third Floor Conference Rooms A/B, Sacramento, California, 95811. Scheduled Meeting Dates for 2005:

November 29, 2005
The State Historical Building Safety Board (SHBSB) is considering the adoption of revised language for Chapter 10, and for a new Appendix Chapter for the 2006 California Historical Building Code. Scheduled Meeting Dates for 2004:

April 28, 2004
The State Historic Building Safety Board (SHBSB) will hold a regular meeting from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and workshop, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 28, 2004. The meeting will be held at the Golden Gate Club, 135 Fisher Loop, the Hawthorn Room, at the Presidio of San Francisco, Golden Gate National Recreational Area, San Francisco, California. Activities

Board and staff activities are posted below.

The National Park Service and the Association for Preservation Technology International are sponsoring a west coast conference on "Building Codes and Historic Preservation" to be held April 26-27, 2004, in San Francisco, California, at the Argonaut Hotel, which recently opened in the historic Haslett Warehouse. The Code Conference will be just prior to the California Preservation Conference April 28-May 1, 2004, also at the Argonaut Hotel. There will be a session devoted to California Historical Building Code issues. For more information on the Building Codes and Historic Preservation Conference, please see the Association for Preservation Technology International's website (http://www.apti.org/).

Notices

December 19, 2006
The State Historical Building Safety Board is providing notice of the changes for incorporation into California Code of Regulations, Title 24, Part 8, which were the subject of written comment periods and a public hearing held on December 7, 2006. These changes are in response to comments received during the initial 45-day public comment period that began on June 2, 2006 and ended on July 21, 2006 and a 15-day comment period from December 19, 2006 to January 2, 2007.
