DSA Advisory Board

Mission

Be proactive in the promotion of the safety and excellence of public building construction in the state of California.

Represent the interests of the stakeholders in the design and construction of public buildings in the state of California.

Advise the Division of the State Architect (DSA) on issues that it may bring before the board, as well as issues that the Board deems important.



The Board members' duties include participation in DSA projects and issues. Board activities may include:

  • Advise State Architect on policy issues.
  • Review regulations, codes, interpretations of regulations, and policies.
  • Make recommendations for regulation, code or legislative changes.
  • Protect the intent of the Field Act.
  • Serve as liaison to stakeholder groups.
  • Recommend and participate in research.
  • Represent the Board as determined by the State Architect (on task forces, conferences, etc.).
