On March, 11, 2007, California's Division of the State Architect celebrates its centennial. Over the past 100 years, the State Architect has played a major role in the design, construction and renovation of many historic California buildings that have helped to shape the world's vision of the California Dream.

A yearlong celebration of the centennial is planned. Celebratory activities include a gala event, and a commemorative book and traveling display featuring California public architecture.
